- Butter: You will only need 4 tablespoons of butter for this recipe.
- Cream of Chicken Soup: You will use one can of cream of chicken soup. If you don’t like using canned cream of chicken soup, see below for my substitution.

can I use chicken for this recipe?
You can definitely use chicken for this recipe if you’re not a fan of pork. You will need to cook it on high for 3-4 hours but I recommend checking the chicken for doneness using a meat thermometer.
what can I use instead of the can of cream of chicken?
If you don’t want to use canned cream of chicken soup, then you can substitute it with my Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup. It’s easy to make and so delicious. My recipe makes the equivalent of about two cans, so you won’t use it all in this recipe.
CAN I USE CREAM OF MUSHROOM INSTEAD?
You can use a can of cream of mushroom soup instead of the chicken one. If you don’t like using canned soups, then you can make my recipe for Homemade Cream of Mushroom Soup instead.

I’ve been making a lot of crockpot meals this month due to the heat in Oklahoma. I put the ranch seasoning and pork chops in a ziploc and shook it up. Added to pot, dotted with butter and poured the (stirred up) cream of chicken soup over top. I checked the meat temp at 3 hours and it was 195*. I let rest then served over rice. Pork chops were a little dry. They were pretty thick and boneless, so I was surprised they were overcooked. This was my first-time making pork chops in a slow cooker. I am a very experienced cook, but don’t use slow cooker much. My husband and boys loved it, because they are boys, lol. I’ll try on low next time. One of my boys hates ranch dressing and had no idea that was the seasoning. Doesn’t taste like typical ranch dressing.
Very good and tender. No knife needed.
Glad you enjoyed them!
Would the cooking time or anything change if you added chopped potatoes to the pot?
Hi! I’ve never added potatoes to this but you may be OK. You can check for doneness as they cook to make sure. Let me know if you try it!
How long would you want to cook them if you used the low temperature mode of the crockpot
You can cook them for approximately 6 hours on low, always checking for doneness.
This recipe is so delicious! I made it last month and now I’m back for another go. The flavor is awesome and the pork chops get so tender. It will definitely be part of my rotation. Thanks for posting!

Everything is RANCH!!! Can you do this pork chop recipe with out ranch and add something in its place, and still be tastefull and tender? Sorry, I can’t stand the taste of ranch, and everyone seems to put it in everything these days.
Thanks,
Wendy
Hi Wendy! You can use the seasoning of your choice. If you don’t like ranch, maybe you can try Italian seasoning. Thanks for stopping by!
